We generally offer the following services to general contractors and other subcontractors. Although some of what we offer below can be considered a complete product or task, many of our services for contractors are intended to be performed in conjunction with their efforts because additional labor and materials would need to be added to achieve the desired overall goal. We offer these services for those contractors who either do not own their own equipment, or would like to supplement their own capabilities for certain jobs. Contact us to see if we can provide a better alternative to rental house equipment, or unproductive use of your labor force.
Our mini excavator is specially equipped for digging footings, whether spread footings or grade beams on piles. It is equipped with on-board laser grade checking, using a machine mounted receiver. To take full advantage of this, we have custom built buckets which automatically convert from tooth edge to smooth edge as needed during excavation. This allows for efficiently breaking through tough layers while providing a smooth finish, with no tooth marks or over excavation. We have 16", 20", and 24" width buckets with a quick change mount for easy changeover. For footings with pre-driven piling we have developed a 6" wide finger like attachment that clears next to the piles without exceeding the target trench width. A hydraulic adjustable thumb completes the package, allowing for easier extraction of buried debris and moving of other obstacles. With this technology and over a decade of experience excavating footings for structures raging from simple additions, to complex shore homes and commercial buildings, we are a great choice to assist you with any project.
We are capable of other mini excavator appropriate trenching and excavation to a max depth of 6 feet. Work of this type would include excavations for utilities, curbs, drains, crawlspaces, swimming pools, etc.
With an array of attachments, including grapples and a hydraulic breaker we are well equipped to remove unwanted sidewalks, driveways, curbs, small footings, piers, and porches. We can haul concrete away to be recycled or load into dumpsters as appropriate.
We can remove unwanted grass and sod, brush, shrubs, and small trees/stumps. We can haul these items away to be recycled, load them into dumpsters, or stockpile on site as appropriate. As with our other services, we are a great choice for when this type of work is needed with limited access or near structures.
Our small loaders are well suited for backfilling and grading around new foundations. We can easily work along walls close to property lines and around piers, trees, and other obstacles. Our smallest loader can drive through crawlspace openings that are a full 32" wide or greater, or can be lifted over walls up to 4 foot high.
With wheel and rubber track loaders in 3 foot, 4 foot, and 6 foot widths we can provide grading services to meet various needs, from spreading and grading topsoil to precision grading for concrete flatwork, pavers, and slab floors. We will also spread wood chips and mulch, however we do not perform seeding or other planting services.
Inground pools often present a special challenge due to the tight spaces surrounding them and rough conditions often left after installation. Our 32" and 4 foot wide loaders can usually tackle the tasks of backfilling the pool, removing spilled gunite, bringing in fill, and final grading for the surrounding pool deck.
Looking for fill? We occasionally have spoils that we can offer, or can have one of our suppliers deliver appropriate material.
Have stockpiles of fill and need it flattened out? Our track loaders can handle this. With their ability to drive onto and over piles, they are sometimes more efficient than larger machines.
Have a wet or muddy lot that needs to be dried out? Our light weight, low ground pressure machines can spread fill without getting stuck or churning mud. Less disturbance will leave the top flatter and drier to better shed rainfall and accelerate the drying out process.
We can install temporary tire washes, and permanent aggregate drives and parking areas, from hundreds to thousands of square feet. Starting with establishing grades and defining boundaries, to base preparation and compaction, to spreading finish material, we can handle whatever your design requires. We have suppliers for recycled and various natural aggregates.
We can install french drains, stone pits, and storm water retention trenches. We will source and install the required pipe, fittings, filter fabric, and gravel, or can just assist with excavation and placing materials.
We will supply and spread various types and sizes of landscape stone or gravel ground cover. We will provide all necessary subgrading, and will install with or without landscape fabric.
We can provide any of our equipment with our experienced operator at daily and part day rates to assist you with your project.
